AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A man accused of stabbing a man who later died in December 2022 was indicted by a grand jury this week, according to an indictment from Travis County.That man was identified as Guadalupe Perez, who was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and murder, court documents said. APD identify man who died from October southeast Austin stabbing At approximately 10:50 a.m., Oct. 25, 2022, the Austin Police Department received reports of a man bleeding from his leg at a bus stop at East Riverside Drive and Wickersham Lane.That man was later identified as Anthony Thomas, 39, according to police.Thomas was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries on Dec. 10, 2022, according to APD.Police said Thomas was stabbed during an altercation involving drugs, and Perez was later identified as the suspect.Online court records show Guadalupe does not have an attorney.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Troy Police Department has seen a recent uptick in incidents involving Kia and Hyundai vehicles. While some cases involve vehicle theft, most involve suspects damaging windows and trying to start the vehicle's ignition. Two juveniles and an adult were arrested recently in connection to Kia and Hyundai thefts. According to Chief Barker, individuals may be targeting specific make and models as a result of a social media trend on TikTok. Police advise car owners to use a steering wheel lock to prevent theft. Owners are also encouraged to park in garages or well-lit public areas. Suspicious activity should be reported to 911.

53-Year-Old Man Killed in Sugar Plant Accident on Holly DriveTRACY, CA (November 10, 2023) – Dean Melavic lost his life Sunday night in a workplace accident at the former Holly Sugar Plant. At approximately 10:20 a.m., emergency units from the South San Joaquin County Fire responded to the plant located on Holly Drive’s 20500 block.Per reports, a worker fell into a sizable silo within the facility, plunging about 80 feet into the machinery.Rescue operations involved a rope pulley system and a team of at least sixteen individuals to retrieve the man’s body from the silo. Despite the efforts of first responders, Dean Melavic was pronounced dead at the scene.
