NYSP: Man arrested after alleged break-in in Queensbury

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Queensbury man was arrested after allegedly breaking into an apartment and brandishing a knife. New York State Police say the disturbance occurred around 12:03 a.m. on Sunday on Meadowbrook Road. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! According to police investigations, the suspect, Ian C. Baptiste, 48, was a resident of the apartment building. Baptiste forcibly entered another apartment without permission and brandished a knife. No one was injured.Baptiste was arrested for Burglary in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Menacing in the Second Degree. Baptiste was processed and transported to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

Savoca arraigned over hospital lockdown, mother's death

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Dino Savoca, 61, pleaded not guilty to grand jury charges in Albany County Court on Wednesday. Gov. Parson opens application for St. Louis Circuit Attorney

ST. LOUIS - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has officially launched an online application for anyone interested in becoming the next St. Louis Circuit Attorney. The new candidate would take over for outgoing circuit attorney Kim Gardner, who will step down on June 1 after months of calls, requests, and demands to resign.Before Gardner departs, Parson will appoint a circuit attorney to finish her term through next year. St. Charles closes McNair Aquatic Facility

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department is closing the McNair Aquatic Facility, effective immediately.In a statement, the department said the water park had "major functionality and infrastructure issues," the latest of which was a "substantial leak" beneath the pool shell. That leak is capable of draining the entire 165,000-gallon pool in days unless the pool is continuously filled.The parks and rec department is soliciting ideas for the 2.5-acre area on its Facebook page. The next phase for the park will be announced later this year.

Affidavit: Slain men were shot from behind in Gunnison County

The man suspected of fatally shooting two others early Monday in rural Gunnison County reportedly told investigators he was afraid for his own safety, but later said “no” when directly asked if he’d shot the other two men.Zachary Baker, 27, is being held without bond in Gunnison County on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Estefan Coronado and Colin Williams. PITTSBURGH — The Rockies’ starting rotation, already beset by injuries this season, appears to have taken another hit.Right-hander Antonio Senzatela, making just his second start of the season, was pulled from Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Pirates with an apparent injury.Senzatela had just given up a two-run home run to Andrew McCutcheon in the third inning when manager Bud Black and assistant trainer Heath Townsend went out to the mound to check on Senzatela. 3 missing after aircraft crashes off Channel Island coast: USCG

The United States Coast Guard responded to a reported aircraft crash off the coast of the Channel Islands Wednesday morning, and after rescuers found a debris field, they've begun searching for three missing people.The debris field was found where the aircraft was believed have crashed about 1 mile southwest of San Clemente Island, the southernmost of the Channel Islands.A MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and its crew from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station San Diego are assisting with search and rescue efforts, the USCG said on Twitter. The U.S. Navy and Customs and Border Protection are also involved.The time of the crash, what may have led to it and the conditions of those aboard are not yet known.Check back for updates to this developing story.
