Toronto is getting a fourth area code after the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approved the 942 overlay code.The CRTC says the new area code will take effect on April 26, 2025, one full year before it projects phone numbers using the current 416, 437 and 647 area codes will be exhausted.Initially, the commission projected a new code would be needed in Toronto by January 2024.“This lead time allows for volatility in the projected exhaust dates, and if these were to advance by a few months there would be no need to change the area implementation plans,” the CRTC said in its report. “This timing also provides telephone service providers and customers the necessary time to implement the new area code into their systems, databases and telecommunications equipment.”The new area code comes 14 years after the introduction of 437. Australian tennis player Owen Davidson, who won 13 Grand Slam doubles titles, has died. He was 79.The International Tennis Hall of Fame announced Saturday that Davidson died on Friday. Longtime friend Isabel Suliga said he died in Conroe, Texas.He won 11 major titles in mixed doubles and two in men’s doubles. WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) — An Ohio sheriff's office is looking for a man who reportedly escaped the Augalize County Jail in Wapakoneta.According to the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement is looking for 30 year-old Brendan Reed. He is said to have escaped the jail on Saturday, May 13 around 12:30 p.m. and was last seen just south of the office, near the Wapakoneta Water Treatment Plant. Can folded dollar bills on the ground be deadly? What to know Authorities say he left by forcing open a locked door and fled from the the jail.Reed is described as 5'9" and weighs 190 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. I-64 flooded in St. Louis after water main break

ST. LOUIS - A busy stretch of Interstate 64 flooded in St. Louis during rush hour Friday afternoon after a water main break. The interstate was flooded in both directions near Tamm Avenue. A 30-inch water main break happened right around 4 p.m. Friday. Water has been steadily gushing from the main for several hours. Traffic was backed up several miles in both directions. Westbound drivers slowly navigated through one lane. Eastbound drivers were at a standstill for much of the rush hour. The highway reopened Saturday morning after cleanup from first responders.
