ST. LOUIS -- The Cardinals have another ticket deal to tempt you to go to the August 28-30 series against the San Diego Padres. Tickets are on sale for as low as $7 and field box tickets start at $17.There are a limited number of tickets available. Purchases are limited to eight tickets per person, per game. Jalen Virgil’s season is over before it began.The speedy Broncos wide receiver was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after a meniscus injury suffered Saturday against San Francisco that requires surgery to repair, the team announced.Dr. Clint Soppe, an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, said the recovery timeline for meniscus surgery can take up to 4-6 months if the meniscus needs to be repaired. Given where the Broncos are in the calendar, that essentially constitutes the entire season, hence the move to injured reserve for Virgil.The second-year Broncos wide receiver was injured late in the first half Saturday against San Francisco after hauling in a 50-yard reception from quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Car Accident Near California Oaks Road Kills 25-Year-Old Ramona ManMURRIETA, CA (August 22, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, Agustin Martinez suffered injuries in a deadly single-car accident along Interstate 15.The fatal incident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the southbound lanes of Temecula Valley (15) Freeway, north of California Oaks Road.According to California Highway Patrol, a 2006 Honda Civic made an unsafe turn while going south on the I-15 and lost control of the vehicle. Afterward, the Civic veered off in the west side part of the roadway and ended up on a dirt embankment.Investigators said the 25-year-old male passenger from Ramona –who was unrestrained– was ejected and thrown at the right shoulder of the freeway. Beyonce has a little extra wiggle room when it comes to the curfew for her Aug. 30 concert at Levi’s Stadium at Santa Clara.That’s because the show — which is set for a Wednesday night — won’t have to adhere to the regular 10 p.m. weeknight curfew at the venue. Instead, Beyonce can now plan on grooving right up until 11 p.m. at the house of the San Francisco 49erss.The extra hour comes courtesy of a weeknight curfew extension granted by Santa Clara city officials, according to a 49ers spokesperson. Man charged in beating death of man found along Oakland freeway offramp

OAKLAND — A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder in the beating death of another man Aug. 1 along an Oakland freeway offramp, according to authorities and court records.In addition to the murder charge, the suspect, Raul Ramirez-Perez, of Oakland, is also charged with three counts of arson, for allegedly setting a fire near the dead man’s body and at two other sites, authorities said.Ramirez-Perez, who was arrested Aug. 18 and formally charged Monday, is accused in the killing of Nathan Kolasa, 47. No address was listed for Kolasa.
