Fortnite maker accuses Google of bullying and bribing to block competition to its Android app store SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Google on Monday confronted the second major U.S. antitrust trial in two months to cast the internet powerhouse as a brazen bully that uses its immense wealth and people’s dependence on one of its main products to stifle competition at consumers’ expense.The trial that opened in a San Francisco federal court targets the Google Play Store that distributes apps for the company’s Android software that powers virtually all the world’s smartphones that aren’t made by Apple. Aurora officer Nathan Woodyard acquitted in Elijah McClain's death DENVER (KDVR) -- A suspended Aurora Police officer has been acquitted of charges in the 2019 death of Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old Black man who died after he was pinned with a carotid hold by officers and injected with a potent sedative by paramedics.Nathan Woodyard was charged with and found not guilty of reckless manslaughter and the lesser included charge of criminally negligent homicide after being on trial for McClain's death. The trial included two and a half weeks of testimony.A jury began deliberations just after 1 p.m. on Friday. Loveland Police officer accused of assaulting teen while on duty DENVER (KDVR) -- A now-former Loveland Police officer was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old at a park while on duty.Loveland Police Chief Tim Doran announced the arrest at a press conference Monday.The officer, identified as 28-year-old Dylan Miller, was fired from the department after his arrest Monday. He had been placed on administrative leave during the investigation, according to Doran.Miller had been with the Loveland Police Department since 2022. 14-year-old arrested after stabbing in Allston A 14-year-old was arrested Monday after a stabbing in Allston, police said. Boston police in a statement said officers first responded to the Armington Street area of Allston around 3:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a person who was stabbed. Police said officers soon found a juvenile male on scene suffering from multiple stab wounds. The person who was stabbed was taken to a Boston hospital, according to police.
