Porn companies sue Utah over law requiring age verification

SALT LAKE CITY (KTVX) - A trade group based in California representing the adult entertainment industry filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the State of Utah, calling its age-verification law unconstitutional. The lawsuit was filed in a federal court by Free Speech Coalition, a not-for-profit trade association that helps filmmakers, producers, internet providers and other creative artists fight against censorship. A Utah-based erotica author, an unnamed adult entertainment attorney, sexual content creators and companies are also listed as plaintiffs. Boys, 13, charged for carjacking 60-year-old man on South Side

CHICAGO — Two 13-year-olds face multiple felonies for robbing and stealing a 60-year-old man's car on the city's South Side Wednesday.According to police, both teens will be facing two felonies of aggravated vehicular hijacking and robbery of victim over 60 years old. Police respond to fatal crash on I-87 in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police responded to a fatal car crash that happened around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say Charlain Danaher, 80, of Ballston Spa, was pronounced dead on scene. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Police say a preliminary investigation determined a car driving southbound exited the roadway, drove over the median into the northbound lanes, and struck the car driven by Danaher head-on. Four passengers of the southbound car were taken to Albany Medical Center and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.This crash is still under investigation. Adult, juvenile charged in murder of Alton teenager

ALTON, Ill. - The Madison County State's Attorney's Office has charged a 19-year-old and a juvenile for the killing of an Alton teenager.The shooting happened Tuesday, May 2, around 12:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of Maxey Street. The victim was shot in the chest and later died from his injuries at a local hospital.In the aftermath of the shooting, homicide detectives with the Alton Police Department spoke with several witnesses at the scene. Prosecutor from Kim Gardner’s office dies on I-270 Police claim investigators identified a juvenile suspect and took that individual into custody. An adult suspect, identified as Marquan Knight, allegedly fled the scene before police arrived. Knight was arrested later in the day.Over the course of the investigation, police learned of a shooting on the evening of May 1 at the intersection of Main and Maxey streets.
