Police shooting at Chinese Consulate in SF leaves one dead

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A driver who crashed a car into the Chinese Consulate building in San Francisco Monday afternoon has been shot and killed, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed that an officer was involved in the shooting.Police responded to the scene at Geary Boulevard and Laguna Street at 3:09 p.m. after hearing that a car crashed into a building. The responding officer shot the suspect, who died at the hospital. Police did not provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Blazing fire forces residents to evacuate NEMD apartment complex

Residents of a Northeast Miami-dade apartment complex were forced to evacuate after a fire broke out.It happened near Northeast Miami Gardens Drive and 14th Avenue.Authorities said there was an issue with one of the electrical panels, sending smoke throughout the building and forcing residents out.“It was smoke in the elevator smoke in the building and just we had to evacuate it we didn’t have any choice,” said Oren Pinhas, one resident forced to evacuate.
