Arrest made in connection with fatal Roxbury double shooting

Police have made an arrest in connection with a double shooting in Roxbury that left one victim dead and another injured, according to officials.The Boston Police Department announced the arrest of Stephen Freeman, 33, who was taken into custody on Thursday.Authorities said Freeman, a Boston resident, was arrested on charges related to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the area of 958 Tremont Street.Police had been responding to a ShotSpotter activation near the address at the time when officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a bar. Both were taken to the hospital, where one victim died while the other was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Another Patriots re-signing on defense.The Pats reached terms with backup defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale on Friday morning, per the NFL Network. Ekuale is the 10th Patriots player to re-sign this offseason and the seventh defender. Last season, he tallied two sacks, three QB hits and 14 tackles.After originally signing with the Patriots in 2021, Ekuale survived roster cuts last summer despite facing a 2-game suspension to start the season. He played 36% of the team’s defensive snaps, primarily as an interior pass rusher. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jim Gordon, the rock ‘n’ roll session drummer who played on classic records by Eric Clapton, George Harrison and The Beach Boys and received a writing credit on “Layla” before killing his mother, has died at 77.Gordon died Monday at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed Thursday. It’s believed he died of natural causes, but the official cause will be determined by the Solano County coroner.
