Cardiologist now faces 16 felony counts for alleged sexual assaults of ten women

A Denver cardiologist who was charged with sexual assault after an alleged date rape now faces 16 felony counts involving ten women, prosecutors said.Stephen Matthews, 35, was arrested March 22 for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a woman, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Matthews was charged with three felonies in that case.On April 18, Denver police investigators announced that they had information indicating that Matthews was allegedly involved in multiple incidents and police asked that anyone who believed they were victimized to come forward. Rockies right-hander Ryan Feltner, who sustained a skull fracture and concussion Saturday night when he was hit by a line drive off the bat of the Phillies’ Nick Castellanos, remains home and is resting comfortably, manager Bud Black said Tuesday.“I think he will come back (to the clubhouse) on Monday,” Black said before the Rockies hosted Cincinnati at Coors Field. “It’s probably best that as he continues his recovery he just takes it easy. Driver killed after Metrolink train strikes car in Sun Valley

One person was killed when a Metrolink train crashed into a vehicle in Sun Valley on Tuesday afternoon.The collision happened on the 12900 block of Raymer Avenue near Coldwater Canyon around 3:20 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.When authorities arrived, they found one person trapped inside the vehicle, officials said. Sky5 footage showed multiple fire crews responding to the scene where the mangled car came to rest between two railroad tracks.One person was killed after a Metrolink train crashed into a vehicle in Sun Valley on May 16, 2023. (KTLA)Firefighters attempted to extricate the victim but they were pronounced dead at the scene.The Metrolink train involved in the crash stopped roughly a quarter of a mile down the tracks.No injuries on the train were reported. Boy, 8, killed in violent Riverside head-on collision; 4 others injured

An eight-year-old boy was killed and four other people were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Riverside early Tuesday.The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. at Arlington and Stover avenues and involved a gray Nissan sedan and a white Honda sedan.Home security video obtained by KTLA shows the driver of the Honda apparently losing control and veering into the path of the Nissan. The violent impact scattered car parts and debris across the roadway and into yards.Four people in the Nissan, a female adult and three juveniles were rushed to a hospital with injuries ranging from critical to serious, a spokesperson for Riverside Police said.
