His retirement is “unqualified, irrevocable, and permanent,” the court filings state.“I have retired from the active practice of law as I have been planning to do since late 2019,” Wood told CNN.The situation stems from Wood’s conduct after the 2020 election. He filed a series of meritless lawsuits after then-President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, which were filled with debunked theories about massive voter fraud that went nowhere in the courts. Bay Area native still missing in Yosemite after falling into rushing rapids

(KRON) -- A San Francisco Bay Area native and recent college graduate has been missing for four days in Yosemite National Park. Hayden Klemenok, 24, was backpacking with friends when he fell, was swept into rushing rapids, and vanished over Upper Chilnualna Falls waterfall, according to his family and friends. Yosemite National Park officials confirmed that Klemenok slipped into Chilnualna Creek near the trail junction at 2 p.m. on July 2. "His whereabouts are currently unknown," park officials said, and search efforts are underway. Backpackers said Klemenok was trying to dip his head into Chilnualna Creek to cool off in hot weather when the accident happened. 2 killed, 14 shot in violent July 4th in Hayward

(KRON) -- Multiple people were shot on Tuesday night in several instances of violence across the City of Hayward, the Hayward Police Department confirmed to KRON4. Hayward PD is investigating at least five separate incidents, including two fatalities.The incidents involved four shootings and one stabbing, according to Hayward PD. In total, 14 people were shot in Hayward from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. “The sheer number of incidents in Hayward last night was unprecedented," said acting police chief Bryan Matthews. "What should have been a celebration of our nation’s independence amongst family and loved ones ended in tragedy for too many." At 10:14 p.m., six people were shot on Ranker Place near Manon Avenue, according to authorities. Two of the victims have critical injuries. Woman, 63, dies after being pushed by unknown person in SF

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A woman died in a San Francisco hospital after she was pushed to the ground by an unknown subject on Monday, the San Francisco Police Department said. The assault happened in the area of 3rd Street and Egbert Avenue in the Bayview neighborhood. SFPD responded at about 6:40 p.m. and found the 63-year-old victim down on the sidewalk with a head injury. Nearly 5 pounds of fentanyl seized, 3 arrested in SF drug bust The victim was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, and she died on Wednesday. Witnesses told police that the victim was walking on the street when she was pushed from behind by an unknown woman. SFPD's homicide detail is investigating the homicide. Crews respond to fire at home in SF's Oceanview neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Crews are working to extinguish a fire at an Oceanview home Wednesday afternoon, the San Francisco Fire Department tweeted. The public is asked to avoid the area due to the blaze at a home on 266 Farallones St. As of 6:25 p.m., the fire has been contained to the one house and is now "under control," SFFD said. Wrongly disposed fireworks destroy 2 homes by fire

PARKER, Colo. (KDVR) —  Two homes were destroyed in a fire on Independence Day morning.South Metro Fire Rescue said the fire was burning two homes on Kimball Street in Parker at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday. A couple of hours later, they said one firefighter was transported to the hospital with “a minor burn injury.” Caught on camera: Guests dodge out-of-control fireworks Investigators determined the fire was caused by “improper disposal of legal fireworks” in a plastic bin outside of the garage. Gunfire tore through a Fort Lauderdale apartment complex, sending five people to the hospital, police said.Fort Lauderdale Police units responded to the scene at the Broward Gardens apartment complex in the area of Northwest 19th Street and 29th Avenue, Wednesday night.Speaking with reporters, FLPD Chief Patrick Lynn said the shooting stemmed from a confrontation involving two groups of people in the courtyard of the complex.“At approximately 8:40 p.m. this evening, at this apartment complex … we had a group of people gathered in the courtyard.
