76-Year-Old Arcata Woman Killed in Traffic Collision Near Willits, IdentifiedHUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (March 28, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a traffic collision along Highway 101 in Humboldt County claimed the life of Wendy Marcus.The fatal collision happened around 4:11 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Ridgewood weigh station.According to the report, a 70-year-old woman lost control of her 2003 Jeep due to wet road conditions.Subsequently, the Jeep went into the northbound lanes of 101 and collided with a silver 2011 Hyundai.First responders eventually arrived at the scene and declared the Hyundai driver dead at the scene. Later, authorities identified the deceased woman as 76-year-old Wendy Marcus of Arcata.Her 74-year-old male passenger from Lafayette was transported to Howard Memorial Hospital who was suffering from significant injuries.In addition, paramedics also transported the Jeep driver and her 39-year-old male passenger from Willits to the same hospital for treatment...

The Metro Nashville Police Department released body-camera footage Tuesday from the two officers who rushed into the Covenant School on Monday and fatally shot the mass shooter.The footage is from the body-worn cameras of officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo, who police said fatally shot the attacker on Monday at 10:27 a.m. The videos show the officers entered the school amid wailing fire alarms and immediately went into several rooms to look for the suspect.They heard gunfire on the second floor and so hustled up the stairs as the bangs grew louder, the video shows. San Jose man arrested for string of burglaries of local schools

(KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department arrested a man allegedly involved in several burglaries of local schools dating back to August 2022, police said.
