Atlanta, Georgia gay bar owner, Palmer Marsh has caused quite the uproar on his social media accounts, as people are discovering posts that he made a few years back, including one in particular where he called former President Barack Obama a “n*gger.”
The Buckhart’s Pub owner also put up several posts in 2015 including one that wrote, “If the South had won, we would be a hell of a lot better off,” according to a New Now Next report.
He’s still posting racist comments as recent as January 15, 2018:
He also has very strong views about his Confederate flag:
There are dozens more like this.
Don Hunnewell, Buckhart’s General Manager, was absolutely livid and told the Georgia Voice, “It took everything I had to soldier on and not terminate my employment agreement.” One good thing about the establishment is that Marsh and his wife/business partner have since retired and have “no active participation in the operations” of the bar.
Although, Hunnewell doesn’t plan to stick around for very much longer. He addressed his staff and then stated, “I have an immediate obligation to those dedicated souls, and once their lives are stabilized I will seek new opportunities.”
Hopefully the rest of the staff is on board with Hunnewell and can find new employment so they don’t have to work under something like Marsh.
