Donald Trump has had quite the week from shaking hands with infamous dictators to viciously attacking the Philadelphia Eagles for protesting gun violence, it really seems like he has a full plate of wretchedness on his hands.
Watching Trump botch every opportunity to be a decent human being always makes me think of the America that once was.
A nation run by a leader that we could all relate to and thus proudly stand behind. It seems like forever ago that Barack Obama wandered the halls of the White House and Americans could feel secure that their president was actively working towards making things better for everyone, not just the wealthy.
Examples like Obama’s congratulatory message to the Washington Capitals this Tuesday contrasted next to Trump’s vicious attack against the NFL, really stands out as example of dignity opposed to tyranny:
Congratulations to the @Capitals! This @NHLBlackhawks fan knows what it’s like to lift that cup – and I’m happy for all the Caps fans who cheer so hard for their team, and for a team that celebrates so hard with its fans.

We will proudly be playing the National Anthem and other wonderful music celebrating our Country today at 3 P.M., The White House, with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus. Honoring America! NFL, no escaping to Locker Rooms!
