ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) -- A court case in Alameda County that once involved a triple-murder accusation has now been reduced to a single-murder charge. A controversial plea deal was rejected by the court. In an exclusive interview with KRON4, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price says the last murder charge is also in jeopardy of being dismissed."It is possible that Mr. Logwood will serve no time in this case," Price said. DA Price dismisses 2 murder charges against accused triple-murderer You may recall headlines earlier this year regarding Price seeking a plea deal for 2008 triple-murder suspect Delonzo Logwood. That plea would have reduced his potential time behind bars from 75 years down to 15 years for a single voluntary manslaughter charge. At that time, Judge Mark McCannon rejected that plea. The DA and defense sought, unsuccessfully, to have the judge removed from the case. Since then, that same judge has dismissed two of the murder charges against Logwood wh...Pleasant Hill woman gets back stolen wedding ring

When Albert and her family arrived at their destination, they realized their belongings were gone. Murder charges filed in Antioch slaying “We thought we left it in the house. We checked with neighbors, then we saw the surveillance video,” said Albert. The wedding ring and diamond earrings recently given to Albert by her husband were in the luggage. The earrings were a gift to celebrate the birth of the family's twins. She says the wedding ring has been in her family since the 1950s. She took it off to not scratch the newborn twins. SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Before the puck dropped Thursday night for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice tipped his hand, at least a little bit.For the first time since the second round of the playoffs, Matthew Tkachuk’s line alongside Sam Bennett and Nick Cousins did not start. Vegas Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy already tabbed his shutdown trio of William Carrier, Nicolas Roy and Keegan Kolesar to open the game — the line that had shut down Tkachuk and Bennett so far.Despite saying earlier Thursday he “didn’t feel it was a matchup series,” Maurice abandoned his starting lineup for 11 games in a row in search of the best possible matchups to try to turn around the final. It took Tkachuk’s tying goal and Carter Verhaeghe’s overtime winner, but it paid dividends in Florida getting right back in the series. Each of the Panthers’ goals in regulation came with the players on the ice Maurice wanted: Tkachuk and Co. against Vegas’ se...Albies hits 3-run homer in 10th, Braves rally to beat reeling Mets 13-10 for 3-game sweep

Then Carter Verhaeghe won it at 4:27 of overtime. The Golden Knights, who had outscored the Panthers by eight goals entering Game 3, let them back in the series by missing opportunities to pull away when Florida gave away one advantage after another.Vegas was 2 for 6 on the power play.___AP NHL playoffs: https://apnews.com/hub/stanley-cup and https://twitter.com/SourcePayments in minor league lawsuit settlement held up by appeal

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Minor league players will have to wait a few more months to collect their lawsuit settlement from Major League Baseball because of four players challenging the deal.Payments to minor leaguers in the $185 million settlement of the suit alleging violations of federal minimum wage laws are being held up over an appeal filed by four objectors, who wish to reallocate $6.5 million of the $55.5 million currently specified for attorneys fees and pay that figure to “outside settlement class players.”Former minor leaguers Daniel Concepcion, Anthony Garcia, Sidney Duprey Conde, and Aldemar Burgos are challenging the settlement approved by U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero in March. They asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to decide in their favor.Spero ruled Wednesday the objectors have 45 days to submit to depositions with the lawyers who filed the suit.“Objectors’ counsel has repeatedly made the frivolous assertion that the appeal will not delay implementatio...Niño de 6 años dispara dos veces a su hermano de un año con un arma semiautomática
