Free winter festivals in San Diego that are family friendly

SAN DIEGO -- The holiday season is in full swing and the City of San Diego recently announced a wave of free family friendly winter festivals.Several events are scheduled through December and into January, some that are holiday themed and others that are activity-filled. SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Gas and Electric is reporting nearly 1,500 people are without power Saturday in the Rolando Village area.SDG&E is reporting on its outage map that 1,491 customers in the Rolando Village, College area are without power Saturday. Reports came in as early as 10 a.m. The map shows the affected area near El Cajon Boulevard and 62nd Street. According to the outage map, the estimated restoration time is 10:30 p.m. Fire destroys Oceanside mobile home, damages others There are also an additional 78 customers without power in the City Heights, Chollas Creek, Oak Park area. ATLANTA (AP) — Federal drug officials are warning Georgia to shelve its plans to be the first state to allow pharmacies to dispense medical marijuana products.News outlets report that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration on Nov. 27 warned pharmacies that dispensing medical marijuana violates federal law. The Georgia Board of Pharmacy began accepting applications to dispense the products in October. AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas are trying to determine who injured three bystanders as officers shot and killed a man who pointed a firearm at them at a bar in an Austin entertainment district.Police said three officers fired at the suspect, who was shot multiple times late Saturday night. Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson said they were still trying to determine who shot the bystanders. She said there were indications that the suspect also fired his gun.Henderson said an employee at the bar along Sixth Street had alerted police to a man with a firearm in the bar. HELSINKI (AP) — Finnish police on Sunday sought a court order to imprison a Russian man who had been living under an alias in the Nordic country and is accused of committing war crimes against wounded or surrendered soldiers in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and 2015.Yan Petrovsky, who had been living in Finland under the name Voislav Torden, is already in Finnish custody but authorities are asking that he be formally jailed while they conduct an investigation into his alleged crimes against Ukrainian soldiers. A five-alarm fire that broke out at an Eagan lead battery recycling facility early Sunday drew firefighters from 12 municipalities and was under control as of late Sunday morning, authorities said.No injuries were reported in the blaze that erupted about 5 a.m. within the roof in a main building at the Gopher Resource Recycling Facility at 685 Yankee Doodle Rd., Eagan Deputy Fire Chief Kip Springer said.The facility is near the intersection of Yankee Doodle and Dodd roads, and the latter briefly closed as firefighters responded.
