23-year-old accused of attempted murder in Orwell ORWELL, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Police have arrested the 23-year-old suspect they were looking for, in connection to a shooting that took place in Orwell, Vermont. Trent J. Vermont State Police say Beayon was visiting a home at 195 Fisher Road in Orwell when a dispute happened involving several people at the residence. According to police, Beayon fired at least one round from a semiautomatic 9mm handgun at Paxton Tabue, a 25-year-old from Orwell. Police say Tabue wasn't injured in the shooting. DUI suspected in crash that injured officers responding to pursuit on 57 Freeway; NB lanes closed A driver is suspected of driving under the influence after crashing into a Los Angeles Police Department SUV and injuring two officers on the northbound 57 Freeway in Fullerton as a pursuit was taking place early Tuesday morning.The officers were in their patrol vehicle searching for evidence on the freeway when they were apparently rear-ended by the sedan around 2 a.m. Two officers were injured in a crash in Fullerton on Nov. 21, 2023. Moore said the two male officers suffered bumps and bruises, and the passenger had a laceration on his head. Both were expected to make a full recovery, Moore said. 1 killed, several injured when pursuit vehicle crashes, overturns in Buena Park One person was killed and several others hospitalized when a vehicle being chased by police crashed into another car and overturned in Buena Park Monday night.The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. at La Palma Avenue and Knott Avenue following a short pursuit near Knott's Berry Farm.The chase began when officers identified a stolen black sedan at a McDonald's restaurant on Beach Boulevard about a mile away. A witness said that police surrounded the sedan, which was in the drive-thru lane, but the driver went over a curb to get out of line. “The cop pit maneuvered his butt. Hit him in the back and he still kept going,” the witness identified as Stacy said.The pursuit ended when the car sped through the La Palma and Knott intersection and hit a white Mercedes-Benz. A large group of juveniles stole around $12,000 worth of products from a Nike store in a flash mob raid that was captured on video Sunday evening, authorities said. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the call regarding the retail theft came in shortly before 6 p.m. at the Nike Community Store located in the 9800 block of South Alameda Street. Initial reports indicated that ten to 15 youths had entered the business and taken multiple products, but that number was later increased to 17, LAPD confirmed. The video shows the juveniles, most of whom are dressed in hooded sweatshirts with masks, hastily grabbing merchandise off shelves and clothing racks.
