ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Mary and it's about brushing your teeth. Here's her email:  Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. Simple dilemma for you. Do you brush your teeth in the shower, and if you do, do you do it with cool water or warm water? I ask because as an adult who is busy with a million things to do, I've always brushed my teeth in the shower with warm water. However, after going on a weekend trip with some friends, they couldn't believe I would brush in the shower. First off they thought it was gross because "shower water isn't as clean as faucet water," and it's warm water. They couldn't believe I could brush with warm water. Even if I'm brushing in the sink, I use warm water. I'm not sure if there's a right or wrong way, but I am curious if there are more people like me. Do you ever brush in the shower, and do you do it with warm water? Thanks so much.MaryI'm with Mary ...

At the top of the band's audition, Venerosa, a graduate of Amsterdam High School, was quick to credit his mother, Joan, as inspiration to audition for the show. Venerosa said his mother has been a fan of the show since day one."It took her a couple years to persuade me," said Venerosa about auditioning to judge Simon Cowell. "But here we are, and it's a huge blessing to be able to have this audience."When I asked Venerosa what the reaction has been like since performing on AGT, he described it as overwhelming, but the best feeling in ...

Dear Amy: My 8-year-old niece is having trouble coping with and sorting out her feelings. She is confused by her mother’s abandonment of the family home and by her mother’s very erratic behavior. One moment, her mother makes scenes over her two children not loving her, and then the next moment she is sending them out of the house on their own in a strange town while she spends time with her boyfriend (four boyfriends so far since the marriage breakup a year ago).Mom blames everybody (including her children) for not loving and respecting her.In spite of this, my niece desperately wants her parents to come together again. She has lost her self-confidence and blames herself for any failure or frustration. She is very bright, but her schoolwork is suffering. My sister and brother-in-law (and the girl’s father) would like appropriate books to read to her.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.— Retired University LibrarianDear Librarian: A great source for recommendations is...

Unlucky Louie, his wife and two of their kids have minor ills that require medication, and there are medicine bottles all over the place at his house.“I goofed and took a wrong med this morning,” Louie told me.“Are you feeling all right?” I asked.“The good news,” Louie said, “is that I won’t have a problem with fleas and ticks for three months.”I don’t know whether Louie had an adverse reaction, but he booted today’s 3NT. MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Catalina Usme scored early in the second half and Colombia edged Jamaica 1-0 on Tuesday to advance to the Women’s World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. Colombia will face European champion England on Saturday at Stadium Australia in Sydney. England advanced on penalties after a scoreless draw with Nigeria on Monday night. Usme yelled in celebration after trapping a long pass from Ana Guzman and calmly finishing in the 52nd minute. It was the first goal Jamaica conceded in the tournament. Teenage star Linda Caicedo had opportunities but wasn’t able to add to Colombia’s tally in a tough, physical encounter. Las Cafeteras, making their third World Cup appearance, also reached the Round of 16 in 2015 but were stopped in a 2-0 loss to the United States. The Jamaican women were in the knockout round for the first time in just their second appearance in the tournament. The match at Melbourne’s Rectangular Stadium was an anticipated showdo...
