MSHSL reverses course, allows Cambridge-Isanti shot putters to participate in sections

After a registration error initially left three Cambridge-Isanti shot putters out of the sectional, the Minnesota State High School League reversed course Thursday and will allow the trio to compete in Friday’s sectional meet.Evelyn Wiltrout, Erin Baker and A’Nyjah Presswood will participate Friday in the Class 3A, Section 7 meet at Forest Lake for a chance to advance to the state meet. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Four teenagers were arrested on May 24 with five stolen catalytic converters, the San Francisco Police Department said Thursday. The suspects were arrested near I-280 after allegedly attempting to escape police. SFPD was called to the 1900 block of Alemany Boulevard at about 2:23 p.m. for a reported catalytic converter theft. DENVER (AP) — The latest sanctions, if any, that the NBA plans to levy against Memphis guard Ja Morant for his second instance of displaying a gun on social media will be announced shortly after the finals, Commissioner Adam Silver said Thursday.Silver did not say what the penalties were, not even saying if Morant would be available at the start of next season.
