WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — On a day filled with far more rain drops than drop shots at Wimbledon — light, but persistent, showers prevented the completion, or even start, of dozens of matches — Roger Federer and Andy Murray provided the highlights. The retired Federer, who won a men’s-record eight of his 20 Grand Slam titles at the All England Club, was in the front row of the Royal Box, where he sat next to Kate, the Princess of Wales. Federer was saluted with a 1 1/2-minute standing ovation during a pre-match tribute to his career at Centre Court on Tuesday.Hours later, Murray was down below, competing.Murray won two of his three Grand Slam titles and one of his two Olympic gold medals on that rather famous patch of grass and — even if those triumphs were long ago; even if he is now 36 with an artificial hip — the locals fondly remember those good times, especially his 2013 championship that made him the first British man in 77 years to win the event. (WTVO) -- Firework-related injuries are common around the Fourth of July. Most fireworks are illegal in Illinois, but even the legal ones are risky. About a quarter of all emergency room visits are due to legal fireworks in the state.Items like "Sparklers" can be dangerous if they are given to children who are too young to handle them, or if they are lit in a way that they should not be. They can cause a larger fire, which can be potentially harmful. What beaches in the Chicago area are open on Fourth of July? Josh Minott was back in the gym 10 days after the Timberwolves’ season ended in the NBA playoffs in April. So much for an “offseason.” The 20-year-old didn’t see much reason for down time.“Can’t afford to not be in there,” he said. Not given his goals. A season ago, Minott was a rookie essentially glued to the end of the Timberwolves’ bench. That’s great and all, to get paid handsomely to watch basketball. But he aspires to do more.So while he wasn’t playing, Minott was still working.“I was locked in and working on the side before games or working on game days, we’re staying behind after shootaround. People go back to their hotel rooms and we’re in the gym, we’re playing, stay-in-shape league and all that,” he said. “Basically, I could’ve just sat around — anybody can sit around and watch the games and think ‘Oh, we’re getting paid.’ But it’s just not enough for me.“I just really have that sense that I haven’t accomplished anything yet.”Timberwolves Summer League head coach Max Lefev...Two arrested for attempted robbery at Speedway
