(CNN) — British actor Julian Sands, known for his work in shows like “24” and movies like “A Room with a View” and “The Killing Fields,” has been found dead after going missing in the San Gabriel mountains in Southern California in January, investigators announced Tuesday.He was 65.“The manner of death is still under investigation, pending further test results,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “We would like to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers that worked tirelessly to locate Mr. Sands.”The actor, who also appeared in “Ocean’s Thirteen” and “Smallville,” had been the subject of an ongoing search in the Mt. OAKLAND — Police have identified two people who they say are persons of interest in last week’s fatal shooting of a man near the Uptown District and are asking for the public to be on the lookout for them.The shooting happened June 21 about 6:30 p.m. in the 400 block of 26th Street and ended the life of 27-year-old Daly City resident Matheus Gaidos. Police released Gaidos’ identity Tuesday.Authorities released separate images of a man and a woman taken on the day of the shooting but did not release detailed descriptions of the pair. (KRON) -- Cards promoting white supremacy were found inside books about the Holocaust, Nazi Germany and civil rights at a bookstore in Petaluma, according to a post from the bookstore's union. This was the second time something like this had happened in three months, according to a Twitter thread from the Copperfield's Books Petaluma Union.The cards were discovered on June 21 at the Petaluma location, which is one of nine Copperfield's locations around the Bay Area. The incident was first reported by the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. (KRON) -- Remains found on Mt. Baldy in Southern California last week have been confirmed as belonging to actor Julian Sands, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff. Sands, 65, disappeared earlier this year while hiking on the mountain.On Saturday, hikers discovered human remains in the Mt. Baldy wilderness. MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — Police in Muskogee, Oklahoma, confirmed Tuesday they are investigating the deaths of three relatives of seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson as an apparent murder-suicide.The bodies of Jack Janway, 69; his wife Terry Janway, 68; and their grandson Dalton Janway, 11, were discovered Monday at a home in Muskogee, located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southeast of Tulsa, Muskogee police spokesperson Lynn Hamlin said.
