NYSP: Gloversville man arrested on drug and gun charges

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police, with the assistance of the Johnstown Police Department, arrested a Gloversville man on charges stemming from multiple incidents. Joseph A. Politsch, 33, was arrested at his home on March 29 and arraigned at the Gloversville City Court. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Police say Politsch had a firearm despite an active court order preventing him from lawfully possessing any firearm. In another incident, Politsch had allegedly held a victim against their will while threatening to harm them with a brandished firearm.Police executed a search warrant at his residence and discovered an illegal quantity of cannabis, felony-weight narcotics, and multiple illegally possessed firearms. ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged a man for allegedly leaving a dead body behind a Dutchtown home earlier this week.According to Sgt. Charles Wall, a spokesman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were summoned to the alley behind the 3700 block of Dunnica Avenue just before 6:30 a.m. on April 4.Police found the body of Glenn Williams rolled up in plastic and carpet, and left on a rear parking pad. A Bakersfield man is facing federal charges after allegedly making threatening phone calls last year, including to a Planned Parenthood the day the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, officials announced Thursday.Nishith Tharaka Vandebona, 34, was living in Camarillo during the alleged offenses. He was charged with three misdemeanor counts of threatened forcible intimidation regarding the obtaining and provision of reproductive health services under the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, otherwise known as the FACE Act, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
